Overnight Mask for Winter: Wake Up to Comfortable Skin in Cold Months
Share
Cold air outside, heaters inside and hot showers in between: winter is tough on skin. Many people wake up with skin that feels tight or looks dull. An overnight mask is an easy way to add a comfortable layer of hydration to your night routine during the cold months.
Our overnight mask
The HydraRenew Collagen Overnight Mask has hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen, multi-peptides and aloe vera. You apply it at night on the face and neck and rinse it off in the morning, and it leaves no residue on your pillow. Read overnight sleep mask: how to use and hyaluronic acid for skin.
How to use it in winter
- Cleanse gently with lukewarm water, not hot.
- Pat dry, leaving skin very slightly damp.
- Apply an even layer on the face and neck.
- Let it settle for a few minutes before lying down.
- Apply lip balm separately.
- Rinse in the morning with lukewarm water, then moisturise and apply sunscreen.
How often
Many people use it 3 to 4 nights a week in winter, and on other nights use their usual night cream. If your skin feels comfortable, you can adjust up or down.
Night cream or overnight mask?
Use one or the other on a given night, not both. The Night Repair Cream, with hyaluronic acid and retinol, can go on the other nights. If you are new to retinol, build up slowly and wear sunscreen every morning. See overnight mask vs night cream and retinol in winter.
